TEAM DILLON RACING ENJOYS STRONG RUNS DURING DIRTCAR NATIONALS
1February 23rd, 2013 - Team Dillon Racing concluded speed weeks 2013 on Saturday night at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) with a $10,000-to-win, World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model event at the 1/2 mile.

Forty-six entries were in the pit area for the program, and after missing the cut for the feature via heat race action by one spot, Dale finished second in the b-main to earn the nineteenth starting spot for the 50 lap finale. 1February 22nd, 2013 - After spending much of the night repairing the extensive damage to his entry from Thursday night's melee Dale McDowell took part in another $10,000-to-win, World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida). Fifty-one Super Late Models were on hand for the program, and a fourth place finish in the fourth heat locked him into the sixteenth starting spot for the 50 lap feature. He quickly worked his way through the pack early in the event before contact on a lap 25 restart brought his night to an early end once again. 1February 21st, 2013 - Thursday evening proved to be a rough outing for Dale McDowell and Team Dillon Racing during the 42nd Annual UNOH DIRTCar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) as they took part in a $10,000-to-win, World of Outlaws Super Late Model event.

Fifty-three cars registered for battle, and after falling short of transferring to the feature via heat race action Dale won his b-main to lock into the eighteenth starting spot for the 50 lap feature. As soon as the green flag dropped McDowell began working his way forward in the field and was up to the sixth spot on lap 31, when disaster struck as he was collected in a multi-car incident in turn three, which abruptly ended his night in the seventeenth position. 1February 20th, 2013 - Team Dillon Racing and driver, Dale McDowell, took part in a $10,000-to-win, UMP DIRTCar Super Late Model event on Wednesday night, which served as the third round of the 42nd Annual UNOH DIRTCar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida). Dale began his night by qualifying fastest in his group and fastest overall with a lap time of 15.870 seconds. With an invert of four present for heat race action McDowell started fourth in his heat before finishing second to lock into the ninth starting spot for the 40 lap feature. Early in the feature he battled around the tenth spot before mounting a late-race charge to a fourth place finish behind race winner, Tim McCreadie, Darrell Lanigan, and Billy Moyer. 1February 19th, 2013 - The final night of the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds at the 42nd Annual UNOH DIRTCar Nationals was held on Tuesday evening at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida). The program consisted of the field being divided into triple features.

Ty Dillon started third in his feature and would quickly work his way into the second spot. He held a side-by-side battle for the lead with Brian Ruhlman before ultimately taking over the top spot. 1February 18th, 2013 - Team Dillon Racing with pilots, Austin Dillon and Ty Dillon, concluded their bid for a Gator Championship on Monday night as they entered the $5,000-to-win finale. Via their performances on their qualifying nights both drivers locked into the 30 lap finale. Austin started in the tenth position, and as the race went green he began working his way forward through the field and was up to the third spot by the race's midway point. A few laps later he raced past Justin Allgaier for the second spot as he set his sights on the leader, Ken Schrader. The closing laps of the event found the lead duo battling side-by-side for the lead, and at the checkered flag it was Schrader, who claimed the win by a matter of feet.

Ty Dillon started seventeenth on the grid for the feature and would struggle to advance through the field in the feature. He ultimately crossed the finish line in the fourteenth position. Full results from the event are available at www.DIRTCarNationals.com.

1February 17th, 2013 - After seeing his brother lock into a starting spot in the Gator Championship the night prior, Austin Dillon took part in his qualifying program on Saturday night for the $5,000-to-win event. He began the night by qualifying second fastest in his group to lock into the third starting spot for the third heat. He finished third in the heat race, which left him starting eleventh. As the 20 lap, preliminary feature went green Dillon began working his way forward and raced into the top five by the race's midway point. Over the remainder of the event he would race around the top five before finishing in the seventh position, which locks him into the fourteenth starting spot for the finale on Monday night. February 16th, 2013 - Ty Dillon took part in his qualifying night for the Gator Championship on Saturday night at Volusia Speedway 1Park (Barberville, Florida) during the 42nd Annual DIRTCar Nationals. Ty began his night by qualifying fastest in his group to lock into the fourth starting spot for his heat race. He used a last lap pass in the heat to claim the win, which transferred him to the feature, where he drew the third starting spot for the main event. On lap 7 Dillon was battling for the lead, when he spun to bring out the caution. He rejoined the tail of the field and rebounded over the remainder of the event to a ninth place finish, which locked him into the seventeenth starting spot for Monday night's $5,000-to-win Gator Championship. 1February 15th, 2013 - After back-to-back nights of rain outs on Wednesday and Thursday evening at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida), the 42nd Annual UNOH DIRTCar Nationals resumed on Friday evening with a $1,000-to-win, UMP Open Wheel Modified event.

A stout field of 82 competitors passed through the gate for the event, and Ty Dillon started his night by qualifying fastest in his group, and he overcame a four car invert in heat race action to finish in the second spot in his heat race. His heat race finish locked him into the ninth starting spot for the feature. In the caution-plauged feature Ty and Justin Allgaier tangled on lap 3. Dillon received a flat tire in the incident, but after changing the tire joined the tail of the field. Over the remainder of the event he recovered to finish in the seventh position.

Austin Dillon has also set fast time in his group to earn the fourth starting spot for his heat race. A third place finish in his heat sent him to a b-main, which he won to lock into the seventeenth starting spot for the feature. Austin would also be plagued by the attrition in the feature as he narrowly avoided a big wreck in the opening rounds, but he would be eliminated from the event after a lap 12 pile-up on the front stretch. He was credited with a seventeenth place finish.

1February 12th, 2013 - Team Dillon Racing took part in the opening round of the 37th Annual UNOH DIRTCar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) on Tuesday evening as Austin Dillon and Ty Dillon took to the speedway in their UMP Open Wheel Modifieds.

The $1,000-to-win event drew a field of 81 competitors to the 1/2 mile oval, and Austin started his night by qualifying fourth fastest in his group. With the top four cars inverted for heat race action he started on the pole of the heat before racing his way to the win, which locked him into the redraw for the feature. After receiving the sixth starting spot for the feature Austin battled in the top five for much of the main event before settling into a fifth place finish behind race winner, Rodney Sanders, Kyle Bronson, Dale Mathison, and Ken Schrader.

Ty qualified third fastest in his group to earn the second starting spot for his heat race, and he would finish second in the heat to lock into the thirteenth starting spot for the 20 lap feature. In the main event Ty would endure a flat tire on lap 10, which forced him to the tail of the field. He rebounded to finish fourteenth. Full results are available at www.DIRTCarNationals.com.
