DOUBLEHEADER WEEKEND ADDS 3 TOP 10'S TO THE STATS

(May 8th, 2012) Dale McDowell and Team Dillon Racing (TDR) ventured to the 311 Motor Speedway in Madison, North Carolina and the Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee over the May 4-5 weekend. At 311 on Friday night, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series presided over a $10,000 to win showdown. Dale timed in tenth fastest during qualifying, ran fifth in his loaded heat race, and later picked off seven competitors on his way to a sixth place performance in the 50-lapper.

On Saturday evening at "The Gap," Dale laid down the seventh quickest lap, during Ultimate Super Late Model Series time trials, which locked him into the inside of the fourth row in the 50-lap main event. Meanwhile, former TDR driver and current driver in the NASCAR K&N East Series Ryan Gifford jumped in the extra TDR #2 Warrior car for the first time in over 3 years and claimed the 10th fastest qualifying time. The Chickamauga, Georgia ace once again moved forward in the $5,000 to win A-Main, as he passed four cars en route to a solid third place effort as did Ryan gaining five spots to earn fifth place and racking up 2 top 5 finishes for Team Dillon Racing.

Ty elected to take the weekend off, he and Austin were on hand to help inducted their grandfather, Richard Childress into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame. Ty's ARCA Championship display also went on display at the IMHoF.

This weekend on Friday May 11, we'll be heading to Lima, OH for a special appearance event at Limaland Motorsports where Ty Dillon will be back in his #41 modified
