AUSTIN DILLON TAKES PART IN THREE SUMMERNATIONALS EVENTS

1July 8th, 2012 - Austin Dillon returned to the familiar confines of his #3 Team Dillon Racing/Warrior Super Late Model on Sunday evening at Tri State Speedway (Haubstadt, Indiana) in an UMP DIRTCar Summernationals event. Twenty-eight competitors were on hand for the $5,000-to-win event, and after qualifying sixth fastest in his group, he started sixth in the second heat race. He would pass three cars in his heat on his way to a third place finish, which locked him into the eighth starting spot for the 40 lap feature. During the course of the feature Austin would battle in the top ten before crossing the finish line in the seventh position. Full results are available at www.TheHellTour.com.

1July 10th, 2012 - The UMP DIRTCar Summernationals took Austin to the 1/2 mile oval at Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) on Tuesday night. Forty-four competitors entered the $5,000-to-win event, and in time trials Austin recorded fast time in not only his group but overall to earn the pole starting position for the second heat race. He stormed to the win in his heat race, and in the redraw for the feature he was the recipient of the third starting spot.

With passing being difficult in the main event Dillon would run in the fourth spot for the duration of the 40 lap finale before crossing the finish line in fourth behind race winner, Shannon Babb, Steve Casebolt, and Brian Shirley. Full results are available at www.TheHellTour.com.

1July 11th, 2012 - On Wednesday evening Austin traveled to Brushcreek Motorsports Complex (Peebles, Ohio) for another $5,000-to-win, UMP DIRTCar Summernationals event at the 3/8 mile oval. Thirty-two competitors registered for action, and in heat race action Dillon registered a second place finish to earn the seventh starting spot for the main event. For the first half of the feature Dillon would battle in the top ten before slipping to a fifteen place finish in the final rundown. Full results are available at www.TheHellTour.com.
